Pepperjam is one of the most highly regarded affiliate networks on the Internet today, and for good reason: they’re difficult to get into, they have a massive amount of advertisers (many of which are “big name” companies like you would find on CJ), and their support is known to be pretty good.

First off, we want to note that we applied to be allowed into their affiliate referral program, and unfortunately have not heard back in several days since applying.  This obviously does not bode well for their “support” rating. Because of us not being in the program as of yet, we cannot offer you cashback for signing up with the program.

Pepperjam has been around long enough (since 1999) to have developed strong relationships with some of the biggest affiliate marketers on the Internet.  Besides that, they are considered an “authority” by many big financial online magazines such as Forbes.com, CNNMoney.com, and Entrepreneur.com.  The spotlighting of their services by these other companies, combined with their longevity in the business, has lead them to get some of the biggest and best companies on-board as advertisers.  Some examples currently include BBC America, Calvin Klein Jeans, and Dollar Tree.

As we mentioned earlier, Pepperjam is a selective network and will require a phone interview in order to get in.  So long as you’re well-versed in your marketing lingo and you have a good bit of experience under your belt, you should be able to make it in.

One of the major downsides to Pepperjam is that you have to “apply” to join their programs.  So, you’ve already applied to get into their network — then you have to apply to join any of their programs.  I’m sure this is seen in a positive light to their advertisers, who can be more selective in who they have promote their offers (similar to those on CJ), but it seems slightly superfluous to have a double-application process for even the most basic of campaigns, such as email-submits.

Pepperjam pays out via check or ACH by default on a net30 basis with a minimum payout of $25, pretty good compared to many other networks.  We’ve heard stories of people being paid via Paypal, but we are unable to find any documentation of that in the account.
