Interstitial Ads: These are essentially full-page ads that force the user to wait on a page to load in a frame, after which they can press “skip ad” and go to your site.  Interstitial ads are a good way to boost your revenue if you have a lot of traffic, but be sure to consider your visitors before you use them, as some people really hate them.

Inline Ads: With this type of ad, you install a code that considers the words on your page and then hyperlinks them to advertisements. These are generally good as far as CPM goes because users are somewhat more likely to click on contextual ads than they would be something like a banner.  However, some users find it a bit annoying to have so many underlined links on the page that aren’t necessarily relevant links, so consider this before implementing the ads.

Banner and Text Ads: These are your basic advertisements that you see on any site, and as such are much less likely to get a click than the other methods.  They are far less intrusive, though, so if you are sensitive to your visitors’ site experience, this is the route you’ll want to go.
